I'm at the best place I have been mentally for years, however, nobody ever told me that this comes with a degree of loneliness. Once you start loving yourself, I have seen how many people drain my energy and it's been the majority of my friends. So, I've phased them out of my life and now left with myself. I'm strong and independent, yet the loneliness does get hard and it takes my strength not to go back to the people who hurt me most. I'm trying and trying, loneliness is hard but I will get through this summer happy, even if it means not socialising much like my Instagram feed or society tells me to, and instead just be alone and have a good summer by myself happily.
