I abused my prescription anxiety medication for over half of my life, and have been clean and healing for 4 months. At the beginning of our relationship, I was unfaithful to my fiance of 4 years, and did some horrible things. I came clean yesterday, he was incredibly accepting and understanding, and we have a long road ahead.

The contrast of sheer relief and knowing the pain I've caused such an amazing human is nearly unbearable, but was clearly the right choice. Without the drug fog, I couldn't live with my own conscience anymore.
